About This Game

Place Value Pirates takes students on a swashbuckling adventure where they master the foundational concept of place value. As math pirates sailing across seven seas, students unlock treasure chests by solving place value problems. The game covers identifying the value of digits in multi-digit numbers, comparing numbers using place value, rounding to the nearest 10, 100, or 1,000, and reading and writing numbers in standard, expanded, and word forms. Each 'sea' introduces a new concept: Sea of Tens (ones and tens), Bay of Hundreds (ones, tens, hundreds), Ocean of Thousands (up to four digits), and Gulf of Millions (large numbers).
